BUCS, British Rowing, UMAU and SPORT
Have no idea where to begin? Confused about why rowing is such a great sport? The national body for the sport - British Rowing has all this information online on its very own website, including stockpiles of information and details to get you started.
We also compete in BUCS events. BUCS is the British Universities and Collge Sports association. Typical BUCS races are the Small Boats Head before Christmas, the Championship and Beginner Head in February and the Regatta after Easter.
UMAU or The University of Manchester’s Athletic Union, and SPORT are organisations within the Univeristy of Manchester that supports and develops sporting ability throughout the University. They cater for all abilities from social to competitive, to national and even internation levels. They are well equipped to deal with any of your needs, and they strive to provide facilities, equipment and opportunities for all.
